Glenholme - A Family Jersey TraditionWelcome to Glenholme

Located approximately one hour north of Toronto, in the rolling hills of the Town of Caledon, Glenholme Jerseys currently consists of 120 head of purebred cattle and 375 acres of worked land.  Founder of the farm, Stewart Mellow, brought the first Jersey calf home in 1932. The first purebred Jersey was registered under the Glenholme prefix in 1937.  The Glenholme herd has been classified and on an official milk recording program since 1940. Stewart's son, Robert, took over the family operation in 1963.  He was joined by his son, Bruce, in 1977 after completion of his education.  In 1980, the official father and son partnership began.

Glenholme's current production and BCA are 6022 kg milk, 291 kg fat and 228 kg protein, and (201-179-200) on 56 records.  Today's herd classifications consist of two Supreme Excellent, 16 Excellent, 21 Very Good, 14 Good Plus and eight not classified.  Several home-bred bulls, including Glenholme Silver Generator, Glenholme Royalty, Glenholme Titan and Glenholme Counciller, have been used throughout herds across Canada with much success and are making their mark today.

At Glenholme, Jerseys are a family tradition. We have always been proud and satisfied Jersey breeders, and see a bright and challenging future ahead.
