A cow named "Franken Monarch Rosel" joined our herd in late 1985
after calving at her breeder's Jerseyville farm of Karl and Isolde Koeppe.
Her dam, grandam and great-grandam were in the herd at this time, still
looking tremendous. We could see that the family had longevity, a
trait we very much admire. After working with Rosel, her excellent
temperament, tremendous appetite and will to milk, as well as her showring
appeal, convinced us we had a valuable "breeding" animal and the
decision was made to market semen from a son. After the positive
response to "Renaissance", her Shamrock Grove Gemini son, others
quickly followed by Master C Tops, Valleystream JIS Juno and Highland
Duncan Lester. As well as time went on and Renaissance daughters
started to calve, he became a sire of sons and two of them are offered
here as well.
